Latent talent: Art and design competition

This nationwide art and design competition in conjunction with Paint — Finishing & Facade is being organised by the German Association of the Stucco Industry. It is open to students of stucco work and related trades at master schools and vocational schools, who are required to produce art and design objects connected with the theme of finishing and facades. In addition, the objects must be suitable for use in residential homes, offices or commercial facilities. The aim of the “Latent talent” competition is to promote the students’ creativity and ability to work independently, and the results will be on show at Paint — Finishing & Facade, the sector’s leading international trade fair. Prizes will also be awarded here. The panel of experts will assess the works in terms of their form, materials, function and autonomy, as well of the quality of the ideas themselves. Cash prizes worth a total of €6,000 will be awarded to the winners. Entries must be submitted to the German Association of the Stucco Industry by 12th February 2007.
