Contract exchange of the DOCUgroup
DOCUgroup’s activities at Paint — Finishing & Facade are worth money! Throughout the forthcoming fair, DOCUgroup will be making its contract exchange database available to visitors. Assisted by DOCUgroup advisers, database users will have the chance to print out a selection of planned construction projects of their choice, or have the details sent to them by e-mail. The aim of this system is to bring decision-makers from the building construction industry together with people seeking contracts, such as manufacturers, planners and representatives of the skilled trades. The network of potential contacts extends across Germany and large parts of Europe. Contract-seekers find out who is building what — and where and when — in good time, allowing them to put in a detailed bid. Last year, the exchange resulted in a total contract volume of €945 million for painters, varnishers, tilers and sanitaryware installers. However, the exchange is not intended for contract auctions. Contract-seekers can use it to offer their products and services primarily on the basis of quality rather than price. Professional survey technology and state-of-the-art database technology are combined in the system. One advantage is that the contract-seeker is supplied with the name (generally the first and last name) of a relevant decision-maker, and not just the name of a company or area. The telephone number (with extension) is also given, making it easy to establish direct contact. Each trade is dealt with separately, and the status of contracts awarded is ascertained. The date of the query in question is also recorded. The contract exchange service takes into account the individual selections of contract-seekers in the building sector, thereby accurately meeting their needs.
