Architectural Forum

Colours affect every area of our lives, especially our emotions. Different colours are associated with happiness, grief, passion; ease or difficulty, warmth or cold, cheerfulness or seriousness. In short, no other design element influences our senses and perceptions to the same extent that colours do. This is partly why colours have become one of the most powerful means of expression in modern architecture. Paint - Finishing & Facade will therefore be addressing this topic on 20th April 2007, when the Architects´ Association of North Rhine-Westphalia teams up with Koelnmesse Ausstellungen GmbH to stage a conference titled "Architecture and colour: Older, brighter, better?". This event will cover new ideas for the future of architecture. Presentation titles include "Changing tactile properties: The impact of age on our perception of surfaces" and "Bright for children, grey for the elderly? An analysis of a constructed reality".

The language of the Forum will be German.
